Ending a terrible winter early

The country club at Woodmoor has re-opened their golf course with the warmer temperatures and lack of snow—months earlier than normal. And given the continued predicted warm temperatures (highs in the 50s-60s for the next several weeks), they have also requested us to shut down our Nordic operations and move our rental equipment out of their golf pro shop.

This will be the first year that we have had so few local ski days, and our season pass ‘snow guarantee’ clause will go into effect. Our nonprofit board will be meeting next week and then we will send out an email to all season pass holders.

Let’s hope for a wetter than normal spring and summer to minimize our drought conditions and mitigate summer wild fires, and hope for a much better winter next year!
