The wind during the last storm left several spots near-bare of snow, and those spots are starting to melt back to grass. However we have more snow expected tomorrow night into Saturday (1-4"?), and perhaps an even better chance of snow Sunday into Monday. Most of the trails were still in decent shape despite the few thin, grassy spots tonight, so we should be able to keep 4 of our 5 trails open Friday and through the weekend. Access to the easier loops will still be from the upper parking lot until that south-exposed, wind blown hillside fills back in with snow.
We tried to set some basic classic tracks tonight, but we just need a bit more consistent snow depth to put these in. Hopefully the next couple storms will allow this, and the start of group ski lessons for those who have contacted me. Think snow!
