I was hoping for lots of snow for Christmas, but we only got ~2 inches, and with the wind, there were still lots of exposed grass spots, preventing us from being able to regroom the trails without risking damage to the golf course. We will have to remain CLOSED through the Christmas holiday, unfortunately.
Many of our volunteer non-profit staff members are or will be out of town for the holiday, but we have several volunteers that will be here to groom and open ski trails if we get enough snow over the Chrismas and New Year holiday. We likely won't have the volunteer staff to operate our non-profit rental shop, but will post an update here if that changes.
Although our earlier start to local skiing ended as quickly as it started due to the extended, unseasonably warm temperatures we had last week, hopefully we'll have more snow and more seasonable temperatures going forward now that winter has officially started. Happy holidays and think snow!
