Open Saturday, likely the last day until more snow arrives…

I skied all three of our trails this evening to assess conditions. Although our classic tracks have melted out in many sections, all three trails are still very skiable--and skate skied great this afternoon. There are a few patches of grass starting to appear in spots in the skate lane, and some dirt/gravel in others (please see photos), but they were easy to avoid. All three trails will remain open for Saturday, but best skiing will be earlier, as tomorrow is supposed to get warmer than today, and those thin spots will become larger and more treacherous as the day goes on. Specifically, the couple of cart path crossings on both the green and blue-black loop. The blue-green loop is all grass underneath, but has a long gravel connector after you cross the road that may also get thin.
Experienced skiers, or skiers who are familay with our trail system should have good/decent skiing earlier in the day. New/beginner skiers may want to wait until our next storm--or just stick to the green loop.
Best access of the green and green-blue loop will be from the upper parking lot, and access to the blue-black trail from the driving range start. The transistion between the green loop and the blue-black trail has a sand pit that we have not protected yet.
Unfortunately we haven't yet been able to completely unpack all our rental gear that was stored for the summer, so RENTALS WILL NOT be available. We hope to have the rental shop fully unpacked and organized by the end of this weekend.
