Sunday (10 Nov) skiing

Kip is regrooming the skate lane of our early season ski loop, so we have one more day (morning) of early season skiing for those diehards out there. The overnight temperatures did not hit the predicted lows, so more melting occurred than expected, and the trails will become thin/treacherous quickly—only experienced skiers should consider coming out, and the earlier the better. Probably best to wait until winter actually arrives….

The trails will be temporarily closed after today, pending more snow. This is our earliest start to skiing to date, and this last storm should provide a nice base to much of the ski trails that don't face south and melt out quickly. Hopefully it will be a nice long winter for local skiing!
