Temporarily closed, pending more snow.

Although we did pick up 1/2" of new snow after lunch, the warmer temperatures today melted out several of the cart path crossings, and some other spots on the trail. Unfortunately, too much has melted out for us to safely re-groom the ski trails without risking damage to the Country Club's golf course turf, forcing us to temporarily close the ski trails until we get more snow.

The current long-term forecast is calling for temperatures in the 50s, so even more of the snow will be melting, but I expect some sections of trail to hold the snow and provide a nice base for our next snow storm. We can't control the weather, but we'll be ready to groom trails and re-open as soon as more snow arrives, and the past 3 days of local skiing was quite good for early season. Think snow!

Survey for new local XC ski trails

I hope everyone enjoyed the recent spring snowfall! Although this winter was among our worst ever (across the entire state of CO), the current long range forecast for next year is looking promising--
